Mentoring and Links,Inc.
One of my great passions in life is mentoring. In a world of uncertainty, I find that mentoring grounds me and feeds my soul.
I am a proud member of Links, Inc. (www.linking.org), a national community service, non-profit organization for professional Black women that looks for innovative and hands-on ways to lift up and serve the African American community.
I had the honor of joining my local Links chapter (the Potomac (VA) chapter, www.potomacvalinks.org) in partnering with Inroads (www.inroads.org) to conduct mock interviews for young people pursuing corporate internships. Inroads focuses on training and matching bright young students with corporate internships that can last for up to four years — and often transition into full-time roles after graduation.
In many ways, this felt like a full circle experience for me. During my collegiate summers, I held a full-time paid internship with Proctor & Gamble through Inroads. It was a wonderfully positive experience for me, building skills and friendships.
I had a wonderful time and look to continue to grow my personal passion and IPCs commitment to mentorshi
