I’m heading to the National Black Prosecutors Association Conference this morning. I’m thrilled to be spending time with incredibly talented thought leaders and prosecutors.

However, it also makes me reflect on what a critical and special time this is. Democratic Nominee Vice President Kamala Harris was a prosecutor in Alameda County, CA and then became the elected in San Francisco in 2004. It’s inspiring how she rose from a line prosecutor to the highest law enforcement officer in CA as Attorney General.

As I listen to the panelists and present on a restorative justice panel, I will remind myself that the role of prosecutor can springboard someone to a range of dynamic transformational roles. From a line prosecutor to presidential nominee. I’m excited to see what this week brings.
