Yesterday’s interview with Vice President Harris and the National Association of Black Journalists is a must watch. The tone and tenor was a sharp contrast from Trump’s combative and hostile interview with the Association at the end of July. Instead, this time, the interaction was an informative, insightful conversation between a presidential candidate and three exceptional journalists.

The journalists asked direct, clear, precise, and probing questions — respectfully pushing and challenging Harris to articulate her vision for America. 

The conversation covered the economy, racial justice, immigration, gun control, the Israel-Hamas War, and more. I enjoyed listening to Harris provide more nuanced and detailed answers compared with her rally speeches. She was able to share more about her specific positions and policies. She highlighted how these positions would positively affect the African American community — specifically — but also all communities.
